Since 1972 the kentucky association of electric cooperatives has coordinated our state s delegation for the national washington youth tour a weeklong program where students representing rural electric co ops learn about the political process interact with elected officials and gain an up close understanding of american history. The washington youth tour is an annual week long all expenses paid trip to washington dc that is open to select high school students whose homes are served by electric cooperatives. Up to four deserving high school juniors from the licking valley recc service area will be awarded all expense paid trips to washington dc scheduled for the week of june 19 25 2020 as participants in the 2020 kentucky rural electric washington youth tour program sponsored jointly by licking valley recc and the kentucky association of electric cooperatives.
